Our detailed engineers work to create a clear and precise engineering specification that details every aspect of the installation and  clearly defines all cabling, bay and equipment locations, port assignments, contact information, every detail of the engineering spec that the customer and the installation team need, to provide not only  a functional installation, but a cosmetically appealing installation also. Our engineering consultants backgrounds cover years of spec creation, on site survey reports, phone surveys, engineering management as well as project management for many diverse applications and platforms.  

 

 

Once again with economic conditions as they are, and the abundance of new and used equipment, cables, DSX chassis’s, connectors, etc. available on the web, we often, at the customer’s request, search out materials to increase your cost savings. There are basically 3 options on furnish. New-from a supplier, most costly method, fresh off the shelf. New- secondary market, new material but found from an alternative source, ex. EBay, installation company’s, the web, we can often find the same material new at greatly reduced prices using this method. Used-Often we make bulk purchases of eq., panels, cables, or use the web to purchase quality used equipment and materials, we recently saved one customer over half the cost of their install materials using used and secondary market materials over new.
Our EFI&T services work hand in hand with all our services, ex. if you need a site de-commed, we can provide the service to de-install, and often dependent on the equipment removed, provide that service at no cost in exchange for the decommissioned equipment. If you need an install done and have equipment that you no longer need, spares cabinets that need to be cleaned out, we will work with you to credit any service we provide for that equipment, we have the facility’s to take those spares, test them, repair them, and sell them. Your company’s success is our success, when it’s time to tighten the belt, we have the buckle.   

 

 

  

 Fortress Solutions has historically, and will continue to be, a leader in the component level repair business. We at Fortress also recognize the need to diversify our services, to cover a broader spectrum of services that we can make available to our customers to increase our cost saving capabilities to the customer. With the lab facility's we have and the highly skilled test technicians we decided to make our services available for field installation and test, as well as detailed engineering, and material furnish. We have built a management team for this service with strong Central Office Installation backgrounds from L4 installers and testers to Sr. Management with collocation, TP76300, & GR1275 expertise. We are Tier II AT&T certified for collocation installation in all 22 states, and have established partnerships for Tier 1 services for builds requiring access into the AT&T side of a central office. Our team has worked extensively on sites requiring TP76300 requirements, and are very familiar with the processes of the TP76300 as well as a variety of other customer's and their standards and practices. We customize your installation to fit the requirements of your site or your collocation.

 

On the Test side Fortress truly has the upper hand. Our testers are exposed daily to a lab environment that centers on troubleshooting and problem solving, all the way to component level.  Because of the size and diversity of our lab our testers are constantly writing scripts and test procedures for multiple platforms, local access, DWDM, SONET, DMS, etc. The test experience for these individuals comes from backgrounds as diverse as the equipment they test, Nor-Tel, Fujitsu, Alcatel-Lucent, Sycamore, Juniper, almost every major OEM and every platform in the industry. Because of the level of experience that we have built in our employee base we often support TAC calls depending on the customer and contract, this is especially true on systems purchased from Fortress Solutions.
